This week in 1974, the worst tornado outbreak in US history occurred.  Climate experts blamed it on global cooling, which was causing an expansion of the polar vortex and expanding Arctic ice.

  • Ah, the air is so much fresher here...
These idiots don't understand that storms are caused by cold air meeting warm air, with the greater difference between the two having the tendency to brew stronger storms. It can be caused by much warmer air meeting cooler air, and vice versa. The base temperature of each is mostly relative.
