Oklahoma lawmakers propose cutting tax credits for wind farms
https://www.chron.com/business/energy/article/Oklahoma-lawmakers-propose-cutting-tax-credits-12750690.phpMarch 14, 2018

...Despite being the number two state for wind power capacity, Oklahoma has soured on its wind industry, which has lost all state-level tax incentives amid a budget crisis brought on by the oil bust. Two bills, one in the House and another in the Senate, have proposed capping the state's zero emission tax credit. In 2016, Oklahoma paid $74 million in zero emission tax credits, which the legislature is proposing to cap at $5 million or $10 million.

If passed, the bills could bankrupt existing wind farms, said Mark Yates, the head of the Oklahoma Wind Coalition, which lobbies for the industry....

Did you notice (didn't see an article here though), that Tesla is intentionally  making bad parts for their vehicles?

Subsidized ineptness.   Par for the course I guess.

I will see if I can find that article.

A few days I went by a house that had solar panels.  I wonder how much the homeowner is really saving on his energy bills -- in Pennsylvania -- in winter, when it's gloomy six months out of the year.

Wind and solar farms will never be good methods of generating electricity because they are not intended for that. The WHOLE point of clean energy isn't to generate energy. It is intended to control people. If you can determine who gets electricity, you can control them. That's why California has energy problems. It's policies are intended to control people, not energy. All energy producers are essentially clean these days.

Wind and solar farms limit capacity which has the desired rationing effect.

With all the wind in Oklahoma, one might think wind farms would be a sure thing - and not need a subsidy. Let's give the free market a try. If it's that great, it sure as heck doesn't need my tax dollars.

Yes, let the market decide if it's resource effective or not.

Good.

These bird killing, scenery ruining ,  monstrosities need to bite the dust.

They popped up all over Germany after Merkel made the knee jerk decision to decommission all 22 nuke power plants in the country.

Beautiful scenery of rolling hills...pastures...fields full of flowers all now ruined by hoards of huge windmills.
The libs/dems of today are the Quislings of former years. The cowards who would vote a fraud into office in exchange for handouts from the devil.
