Donald Trump breaks silence to back Roy Moore staying in Senate race despite teenage girl allegations
The Telegraph/UK, Nov 16, 2017, Ben Riley-Smith

Donald Trump has backed Republican Senate candidate Roy Moore remaining in the election race despite multiple claims of sexual harassment of teenage girls.

Mr Trump believes that “Alabama should take the decision” about their next senator and that Mr Moore should only quit if the allegations are proved.

The comment falls short of other senior Republicans who said they believe the women accusers and have called on Mr Moore to quit immediately.

<snip>

Asked whether Mr Trump still stood by his endorsement of Mr Moore, Ms Sanders said: “This is a decision for the people of Alabama to make, not one for him to make.”

Trump has good political instincts.   I think he sees which way the wind is going to blow.

No. This is the same middle of the road line he gave the other day. Either way this thing breaks, his ass is covered.

By Jove I think you've Got It!

But it still beats him joining in with the Turtle outright.
My 'Viking Hunter' High Adventure Alternate History Series is FREE, ALL 3 volumes, at most ebook retailers including Ibooks, Barnes and Noble, Kobo, and more.

In Vol 2 the weapons come out in a winner take all war on two fronts.

Vol 3 opens with the rigged murder trial of the villain in a Viking Court under Viking law to set the stage for the hero's own murder trial.

The comments came after Mr Trump's daughter Ivanka said there is a “special place in hell” for people who prey on children.

She also believes there’s a special place in Hell for people who overcook pasta after she mistakenly believed the epic was called Al Dente’s Inferno.

Yes ... it still beats joining in with the Turtle who not surprisingly was the first to call for Moore to exit the race.
I Believe in the United States of America as a Government of the people, by the people, for the people; whose just powers are derived from the consent of the governed; a democracy in a republic; a sovereign nation of many sovereign states; a perfect union one and inseparable; established upon those principles of freedom, equality, justice and humanity for which American patriots sacrificed their lives and fortunes.  I therefore believe it is my duty to my country to love it; to support its Constitution; to obey its laws to respect its flag; and to defend it against all enemies.
