That, combined with her massive sense of entitlement that she was owed this has become a toxic brew
I was arguing with a Dem on the train this morning. I was talking about the new tax bill and he was adamant that he opposed it. I asked what specifically he objected to, and he admitted he hadn't read any of the specifics. He opposed it without knowing its contents - without knowing that it's objectively a pretty fair bill - simply because it is proposed by Republicans.
I told him he was insane, that the bill had substantial merit as sound policy that might help working class folks - folks who've traditionally voted Democratic. He didn't care, saying you didn't even let our Supreme Court nominee come up for a vote. Tit for tat. That's politics these days.
Of course, that wasn't Trump who wouldn't let Garland come up for a vote. That was McConnell, reasoning that the results of the election should determine the fate of the nominee. And up until the eleventh hour, Clinton was cock-sure she would waltz to triumphant victory and consign that simpleton Trump and his deplorables to the dustbin. McConnell ended up winning what seemed to be a sucker's bet - because Hillary's the living embodiment of pompous privilege and un-earned entitlement.
I've never wanted war. But if war there must be, might as well win. Solidarity folks - we may piss and moan at each other, but unity can at least bring the satisfaction of bringing down the likes of Hillary Clinton and her rotten-to-the core brood.
