(CNSNews.com) - A few hours after Paul Manafort walked into a federal court in Washington on Monday, President Trump addressed the furor surrounding his former campaign manager, who is among the first people to face criminal charges stemming from the probe conducted by Special Counsel Robert Mueller.

That would have been a whole lot smarter. Manafort's sleaziness was well known and I commented at the time that he was a poor choice for a campaign manager. He didn't last long in the position, but still.

Exactly!  And nothing to do with the President either.  Nothing to do with the campaign, collusion, or the President:  that's the headline from Trump's perspective IMO.

Most of it is years ago, but it did extend into his campaign as recently as last year in regards to the money laundering.


Also, the lying and misleading investigator charges were mostly from this year.

Yes, most of it fell from 2008-2012, but neither side should claim victory. It shows they are all crooks and willing to work with known crooks.
