Don Lemon Weeps On Air After Reading Letter He Wrote To Trump

On "Facts First" CNN last night, host Don Lemon read an open letter he wrote to President Trump in response to his public feud with Gold Star widow Myeshia Johnson. In the letter, Lemon condemns Trump for having "essentially called her a liar" in a tweet on Monday, suggests that his response to her appears to be racially motivated, and gives his own apology to Johnson, which he tells Trump he's free to use if he ever chooses to apologize. After reading his letter, Lemon breaks down for a moment, struggling to prevent himself from crying on air.

In response to Johnson publicly stating that what Democratic Rep. Frederica Wilson alleges about Trump's "insensitive" phone call to her was accurate, Trump pushed back on her characterization of the conversation.
