6 conservative things President Trump could be doing right now.

I keep getting asked the following question: “What do you expect President Trump to do when he’s saddled with a do-nothing RINO Congress?”

Assuming those asking the question are honest brokers, rather than unwilling to hold the president accountable to his “I alone can solve” campaign promises, I have a handy list of six conservative things the president could be doing right now — regardless of how inept or uncooperative the Swamp Congress may be.

That's a good list and it would be a fantastic start to a winning presidency.

Anybody who actually believed a lifelong NY Liberal Democrat at 70 years old was actually going to do ANY of those 'Conservative' things Deace lists - is an imbecile who will always be easily suckered into believing the lies of con-men that they so desperately want to believe in.

If Trump actually believed any of those promises he made - he would have already done all the things that Deace has listed, or have been engaged in doing them.

Outside of the waffling rhetoric on the Paris Climate Accords - Trump has done NOTHING on those issues.

Because Trump is NOT a Conservative.

Trump is a NY Liberal - and his worldview and agenda is NOT a limited government and maximized personal liberty.

Fart for freedom, fart for liberty and fart proudly.  - Benjamin Franklin

...Obsta principiis—Nip the shoots of arbitrary power in the bud, is the only maxim which can ever preserve the liberties of any people. When the people give way, their deceivers, betrayers and destroyers press upon them so fast that there is no resisting afterwards. The nature of the encroachment upon [the] American constitution is such, as to grow every day more and more encroaching. Like a cancer, it eats faster and faster every hour." - John Adams, February 6, 1775

I'll give the Obama admin props in that they went thru the entire executive branch to do things that furthered their agenda. Didn't agree with any of it, and much of it got slapped down in court, but they were diligent.

The Trump admin needs to be just as diligent. They've done some things so far, but need to do more.

I keep hearing he's been in office ONLY 9 months and we detractors are expecting too much from him, but I say, in nine months, Trump should have been at least making some progress toward keeping his promises.  That he has been spending much of his time on Twitter attacking members of his own party and anyone else he considers his enemy -- real or imagined -- tells me he really isn't serious about doing what he said he would do.

The nomination of Gorsuch was designed to at least temporarily appease conservatives, but if anyone thinks Trump is really serious about keeping the rest of his allegedly conservative agenda, they are wrong.  Congress will pass some half-a$$ legislation, then Trump will sign it, call it "Obamacare repeal" or "tax reform" or whatever, and his supporters will hail him as a hero.   But the legislation won't come close to repeal, reform or whatever.  It's all a charade.

Yep.  They need to at least try.

Meanwhile Nikki Haley is doing good things over at the United Nations.

Here is a Trump tweet that everyone loved.  An oldie but a goodie.

From April 2, 2016

“Where do you ever see the United Nations?” Mr. Trump continued. “Do they ever settle anything? It’s just like a political game. The United Nations — I mean the money we spend on the United Nations.”

That's a good list with no pie in the sky ideas ... just do-able things that Trump could do.  If he would at least get started on that list, it would give us some hope.

I've given up hoping Trump will stop tweeting.  I don't think he can.  His tweet habit has probably hurt him more than the media has.

Example:  If he hadn't tweeted some crap about the poor immigrant children, we could have called the media liars ... but his own words won't let us do that.

This is not a trust list.  It's a wish list.
