Why are there two V-J Days? U.S. celebrates victory over Japan on Aug. 15, Sept 2. and here's why

Wednesday is V-J Day - again.

For anyone who didn't pay attention in history class, V-J Day is Victory Over Japan Day - the day that marked the end of World War II.

But, according to some calendars, the holiday was already celebrated on Aug. 15. So which is right?
