Illinois should be stripped of its name: Dobbs
Published June 28, 2017 Politics FOXBusiness

FOX Business’ Lou Dobbs said Wednesday that Democratic policies are to blame for Illinois’s budget crisis.

“Democrats have controlled the state legislature for 14 straight years…given the unconscionable mess that Democrats made of Illinois, perhaps President Trump should just say ‘no, no bailout,’” he said.

Illinois could go down as the first U.S. state to have a “junk” credit rating, with $15 billion in unpaid bills.

There are more than a few republicans who've helped Madigan here. 15 voted for this latest farce of a "budget". Between him and the bureaucrat unions stopping any meaningful changes in how the state is operated, I fear we have gone past the tipping point. Even if by some miracle, a totally new legislature was elected next year, we are on our butts sliding down a greased slope into bankruptcy.

I expect extensive riots from the moochers starting in a couple of years, followed by the locusts swarming into the more productive countryside.

Illinois needs to be stripped of Chicago. If you did you'd have a solid red voting state.
The Republic is lost.

"Illinois should be stripped of its name: Dobbs"

No.

What Illinois should be "stripped of" is -Chicago- and Cook County and perhaps several southern counties.

Do that, and the state has a chance of prospering again.

Hmmm... why not give Chicago to Canada?

Aside: composed and posted before I read the Vulcan's comment above!

That just might be considered an act of war....
