Hillary’s White House would be no different from Trump’s

By John Podhoretz

July 15, 2017 | 10:25am

It wouldn’t have taken much for Hillary Clinton to prevail on Election Night. Donald Trump won the presidency with razor-thin margins of less than 1 percent in three states that had gone Democratic in the previous five elections — Michigan by 10,000 votes, Wisconsin by 22,000 and Pennsylvania by 34,000.

Yes, if only she hadn’t run what was likely the worst presidential campaign in our lifetimes, Hillary Clinton could have stitched together around 80,000 votes and could have been sitting in the Oval Office right now.

The interesting question is: How would America in July 2017 be different under a President Clinton rather than a President Trump?

I really hate feeling the need to constantly defend this White House and president.

But the clowns in the jabbering class who's only concern is redeeming their own reputations and salve their bruised egos, having been so wrong last year, constant whinnying & harping is getting so friggen tedious & irritating...

There have been a number of good (conservatively speaking) developments policy wise. And to blow off Gorsuch's appointment as inconsequential is ludicrous. I realize Trump has repeatedly shot himself in the foot style-wise, but can Podhoretz at least acknowledge that the entire DC establishment seems determined to keep this guy from moving ahead on his agenda?

I think Trump is too busy Tweeting nasties about his detractors and pimping his daughter's Foundation initiatives to G-20 leaders and jump-starting them with our tax dollars to actually be bothered with moving his agenda (whatever that is these days) ahead.

Fart for freedom, fart for liberty and fart proudly.  - Benjamin Franklin

...Obsta principiis—Nip the shoots of arbitrary power in the bud, is the only maxim which can ever preserve the liberties of any people. When the people give way, their deceivers, betrayers and destroyers press upon them so fast that there is no resisting afterwards. The nature of the encroachment upon [the] American constitution is such, as to grow every day more and more encroaching. Like a cancer, it eats faster and faster every hour." - John Adams, February 6, 1775

I realize how important it is for you to be right about Trump.

If throwing Trump in stocks in the town square would help this country find its way back from the progressive abyss then I'll be right there emptying my chamber pot on him with the rest of you.

Thats the difference between you and I.

I realize how important it is for you to be right about Trump.

It's more important to be right about the principles that directed my opposition to Trump in the first place.

Principles that were ridiculed and said to be the enemy of the good.

And now there are consequences that many are blaming everything and everyone else for.

Throwing Trump in stocks is not going to help this country pick up what it has discarded as contents they think are only fit for a chamber pot.

The issue is helping the country come to grips that those people and parties and pragmatisms and progressive Marxism and Socialisms they champion, are the contents of a chamber pot.   They have soiled themselves with dumping it upon their heads and crowing about how much better they feel being washed in it.
