I agree, @raml

Somebody found a video of Kathy Griffin getting into it with Elizabeth Hasslebeck on an old "The View", where she defended the attacks on the rodeo clown who dared to wear an Obama mask while getting thrown and chased around the ring.

Something like, "You MUST show a certain respect for the Office, if not the man".

....and then she goes does this.

Yeah, somehow I didn't catch the story of the rodeo fellow the first time around, but no doubt the press/left holds different standards for Obama than they do for Trump.

I would be thrown under the bus big time I guess, I have a cat (adopted when he was a kitten), it is black and white, I call him Obama. Wife was less than impressed and quickly did a rename the cat project and the kids named him Oreo. They still call him one name, I another, but I love that cat, he loves me. But when company is over, I sure get the "I dare you" look.

I still get a chuckle when I receive the yearly rabies shot requests for Obama.

Nobody is talking about Seth Rich today, not to try to sound overly conspiratorial but this is even over-the-top for these people to do.

As gently as I can manage, your #nevertrump obsession appears to have warped your judgment.  You are blaming Trump for this.

Give me a break.  I didn't blame Trump at all.  I note that you didn't address the questions.

With all due respect, @Suppressed

I've coached 10-12 Little League over many years.

A sheltered/protected eleven year old whose mother and father limit access to TV and cell phones would freak out.

Thank you for your respectful response, @DCPatriot.  My reply here is in that same spirit.

You mention "sheltered/protected", which is exactly one of the options I mentioned.

I've not coached 11-year-olds, but I've taught them in the classroom.  I've also taught 7-year-olds.  And the reaction described was more like a 7-year-old than an 11-year-old.  So I believe the sheltered option might be right.

Also, some have suggested that Barron might have special needs.  If so, there's nothing wrong with that at all..many children do.  But it could also explain an anomalous reaction.

In any case, it goes back to "what did they have him watching, where this was shown?" and "Who provided the detailed reporting of his reaction?" and "Why do they think reporting the details of that reaction was good for the child?"

Quote
That said, you could be right this part of the story is manufactured.

I think this is the most likely explanation, rather than someone close leaking (a leak that would be obvious--not many would have seen the event reported) or the Trumps using him for political points (unless they manufactured it, of course).

It was a totally vile and dispicable stunt.

But as for that story about Barron...

First of all, who reported this happening?  Is this a story just floated by Trump for political points?  I'm sure it was upsetting, but the detail given...well, who was in the room while they were watching TV that's saying this is what happened?  What was Barron watching?

Second, Barron is 11 years old.  Are they saying he's too stupid for his age to recognize this was fake (as the other thread claims)?  Or is he too sheltered?

Methinks it's a cheap political ploy.  Sure, it's disturbing, but I think they've exaggerated Barron's response in an unflattering way.  If so, that's not fair to the kid.

I thought about this a little bit last night.  My grandson is 11 and because of his gifts will enter the 12th grade this coming school year.  He spends a lot more time with older kids than the average 11 year old.  I remember his reaction to seeing an auto accident involving a car just like his dad's car.  Panic until I could assure him that wasn't his dad.

Then I thought about it from my own point of view.  I didn't vote for Trump, but if the President were beheaded, I would be traumatized, because of what that would represent for the country.  It would be nightmare inducing.

Two things.

Great cat story!

Two - there are rumors that Barron Trump may have Aspergers. He might have seen this event differently if this is true than another 11 year old. I'm really sorry he was traumatized. At the end of the day this was a dumb think of Ms, Griffin to do and now she's sowing what she reaped.

I'm trying to find out why you keep using euphemisms for targeted violence, here and on at least one other thread today.

I think you're overreacting just a bit.

If I were writing a 'Robert Ludlum' novel, the beginning scene...before the credits, would mimic the 'Baptism Scene' at the end of The Godfather.

The heads of the aforementioned media giants ...in lieu of Crime Family bosses.

A distinction without a difference, indeed.

It would be a compelling read....how the media suddenly remember how to be REAL journalists.  But not until Chapter 11.

.....OMG!!!  Wait until you see 'Chapter 9"      ^-^    (as they say on the internet)
