Whats this guy smoking? Comey has already testified that he saw no evidence of the Trump campaign colluding with Russia.Trump wouldn't need to evoke executive privilege - he could just remind Comey the penalty for perjury.
We never know. Comey's testamony was very qualified leaving open the possibility of different answers that are still truthful. We won't know until we know. (I suspect all sides will not be happy with the end result of all this).
Yeah, as if extortion is another messy can of worms this messy president needs to open.
Who writes this stuff?
Former FBI Director James Comey is expected to testify publicly before the U.S. Senate Intelligence Committee next week on his allegedly nefarious meetings with President Donald Trump, according to media reports Wednesday. During one interaction, the commander-in-chief reportedly asked Comey to drop the domestic intelligence agency’s investigation into disgraced former ex-National Security Adviser Michael Flynn, as well as a probe into the administration’s supposed contacts with Russia during last year’s presidential election.Comey’s testimony could completely blow wide open the ongoing Trump-Russia saga that’s plagued the country’s political landscape for months and severely hampered the billionaire’s attempts to exact his domestic and foreign agenda. But the president does have the option of blocking Comey from testifying if he attempts to invoke the constitutionally and largely court-upheld right of executive privilege.
Extortion? Wow I guess Maxine knows what she's talking about after all.
Using the threat of legal process to obtain something you're not entitled to is extortionate. It also goes by more mundane terms, such as abuse of process.
