I think Dems are just scared they're about to lose a) their cheap products from China and b) lose money they've invested in the ChiComs.

10 years ago, they were using trade with Red China as a cudgel toward their "envy of the rich" gambit.

Now, because a protectionist is in office as a Republican, they're for it just to be against the Republicans.

It'd be nice to have someone call it out.

Our current President isn't for free trade either.  The Dems are simply for it now because Trump is against it.

That what neither side wants is truly free trade doesn't occur to them in the slightest.

My attitude is this. If the Union says it bad, then it is good..  I still like Free Trade..
