So when you see posters or anyone else bitching about America's support for Israel, what you see is someone that is either unthinking, uncaring or a supporter of Muslim ideals.

There is a wacky sect of Orthodox Jews called the Satmar Chassidim who are a bunch of Hungarian Jews who don't believe in Israel because it came after the Messiah. They are radically Left and they are most certainly a group of morons. They protest absolutly everything Israel just lake any garden variety Communist over here.

A lot of fairweather conservatives and pretend patriots have issues with America standing behind Israel. However, a quick look through the pages of very recent history, as well as periods of the 90s and the 70s show clearly that America under Democrat presidents failed to keep it's word.

Whether these people like it or not, Israel has been used as a buffer for America and we OWE THEM BIG. And I don't mean foreign aid. We gave them our word and have not lived up to it.

Anyone that actually loves this country and believes in the very concept/ideals of what America stands for would not stand for America not keeping it's word to an ally. And they would work to ensure we made up for our failures whether it was Israel, the Aussies, Britan or anyone else. However Israel, not the others is our 'Jupiter' of the mid east. Muslims take out their great Satan hate on Israel because they can't easily attack us directly. And they have absorbed a LOT of hate and attacks that are hate America, not hate the Jew based.

Trump certainly has his issues and in many ways can be his own worst enemy. But aside from my reading of history, my decision to not support/vote for him included the kind of fanatics he attracted. Now to be sure, it wasn't a determining factor on it's own, but it played a role in the overall. So far in the overall, I'm glad trump is governing largely conservative and thusfar it looks like I made the wrong call on him. But the crazies are still crazy as ever.

Reagan didn't attract crazy people by and large. Crazy people were repulsed by him. Unfortunately, crazy people flocked to Trump as if he were magnitized. Witness the insanity at FreeRepublic.

True, and his most fanatic supporters here turn me off just when I am trying to give Trump the benefit of the doubt and appreciate most of his decisions so far.

You're forgetting the live use data from weapons systems. And the Israeli's rather annoying habit of taking any off the shelf weapon and improving it about 10fold.

And Netanyahu was typically diplomatic as he always is. After all, the man has called Obama a partner in peace and great friend of Israel. Anyone who has read George Washington's rules of civility understands what and why Netanyahu or any real leader does it.

For example, we have no right whatsoever to tell them what they can and cannot do inside their border.

Tell me, Do you believe Bibi should have the right to tell America where it can locate our people here?

If the US was asking Israel to use its geopolitical strength to negotiate a deal between say .. the borders of Louisiana and Texas, then, yes, Israel would have the right to tell us what they'd like to see happen or not happen with the border and movement of people.  A "stand down" request from Israel would be appropriate until a negotiated deal could be reached.

If we declined the request, or gave only lip service agreement, Israel would have every right to conclude that the US was not serious about the negotiations and Israeli help and withdraw its involvement in making the deal.
