Say what you will, but here goes:
Trump went on National TV before the Super Bowl to do the O'Reilly interview.
He basically said, "we have some bad people, too" when O'Reilly pointed out that the Russians were bad hombres.
O'Reilly even gave him a chance to modify his answer, and he didn't do it.
From the Cold War on, this would have been something a liberal would have said.
Since the Cold War, from Ike up until GHW Bush, Republicans, especially Conservatives, didn't put anything past the Russians.
The libs would run around saying we were paranoid, and "can't we all just get along?"
Romney comes along in 2012 and sees that Russia is back to being nefarious again, and Obama makes fun of him for it.
Flash forward to 2016/2017 and we've done a 180.
Libs are running around screaming about the Russian threat, and (some) Republicans are on the defensive, saying "so what, nothing to see here."
So what happened?
Just What is going on?
Like Obama with the Iranians, having been accused of everything from being naive to wanting to harm the USA, what is the truth here?
I won't accuse Trump of wrongdoing unless the facts bring that out, but I am a bit curious, for sure.
As a child of depression/WW2 era parents, I am finding it hard to stand with someone who will not stand up to aggressors, and Putin is definitely that.
What is Trump's point here?
