Google Maps apologizes for ‘Dump Tower’ and other inappropriate names that surfaced on Saturday

Google Maps changed the name of “Trump Tower,” the place where the president-elect Donald Trump lives and works, to “Dump Tower” for a few hours. Users of the service began noticing the name change at around 2:00 P.M. Saturday and tweeted it.

In addition. Trump International Hotel & Tower was also changed from “Trump” to “Dump,” Pix 11 reported.

When  looked it up on my phone app, there was Trump Tower AND Dump Tower.  Later it was just Dump Tower. 

Instead of goofing off, the techies should make more of an effort to give correct directions and alert drivers to road closings.  In my neck of the woods, we had a major artery closed for almost two years, but during that whole time,  Google Maps still tried to send drivers down that road.
