 A crowd gathered for a Donald Trump campaign rally in Wisconsin on Monday evening broke out into a chant against House Speaker Paul Ryan, who hails from the state.

“Paul Ryan sucks!” chanted the Green Bay crowd as a local GOP official spoke onstage.

 Ryan, the highest-ranking elected Republican official in the country, said earlier this month that he would no longer defend Trump or campaign for him throughout the remainder of the election season.

"The speaker is going to spend the next month focused entirely on protecting our congressional majorities," Zack Roday, the press secretary for the speaker's political office, said at the time in a statement.

And this will help Trump pick up undecided and swing voters how?  Playing to the base at this stage is a losing proposition.

Yesterday I saw two facebook posts from the same person.  The first tried to make the point that Trump should get our votes because of the Supreme Court.  The second post promoted the idea of voting only for Trump, and leaving the down ballot races blank.  How clueless is that?

* Stopping illegal immigration by touchback amnesty

* Protecting the 2A by electing a man that personally funded Clinton, DeBlassio, Schumer and Bloomberg

*Attacking your own party members more often and with greater ferocity than your actual opponent.

Trump's most avid supporters don't have a conservative bone in their bodies.

And they know no more about the political system than their hero does.
