Controversy erupts when university disinvites Sheriff David Clarke from speaking over ‘circumstances’

Another progressive university uninvited a conservative speaker but this time students and alumni are speaking out against the decision.

Milwaukee County Sheriff David Clarke was initially invited to the University of New Haven to give a talk about forensics, but the school later rescinded the invitation because of “circumstances,” Fox61-TV reported.

The sheriff was asked to be a keynote speaker at the 25th Annual Markle Symposium at the end of October but was called at the end of the summer to cancel that invite. According to Clarke, a university representative told his assistant it was because of comments he’d made about Black Lives Matter.
