Determined Tea Party Activist Conquers All Odds, Becomes Mayor

Think one person can’t make a difference? Think again. Born with scoliosis, Joel Davis gained a new lease on life when he got involved in grassroots activism — organizing tea parties, hammering yard signs and speaking out on issues affecting his community.
In spite of his physical challenges, Davis used the skills he learned to begin fixing problems in his community. Eventually, he was elected mayor of Paden City, West Virginia. Davis recently sat down Matt Kibbe, president of Free the People and former president of FreedomWorks, to tell his story.
