IMHO the Trump folks wanted Newt.  Hannity doesn't think Pence is Conservative enough.

Yeah I know I scratched my head on that one too.

Hannity apparently has lost whatever was left of his mind.

He's in love with Democrat, Progressive Trump, and yet Pence isn't conservative enough??

Yikes.    **nononono*

The VP pick doesn't mean a hill of beans.  He'll be forgotten in a week.  Heck I have to rack my brain to remember Biden's name...lol.

So you say.

Ok, for the last time, I don't vote for people who gave money to the Clintons..

Not to mention people who said Hillary was doing a good job as Secretary of State.

So the party and nominee are fully in favor of free trade, just not trade and trade deals that penalize our manufacturers and employees while failing to open up markets in other nations.

BS.  Trump opposes NAFTA which opened up Canadian and Central American markets to the US.  Stop lying already.  I continue to go by what Trump actually said instead of what others wish he had said.

Trump is a protectionist, pure and simple (except when it comes to his own businesses).  He invents bad guys (China, Mexico, etc.) just as the national socialists did in the 1920s and 30s.  And he instills blame on them for the failure of American business to keep up with the global economy.

Trump takes the stage and blames China for not letting US cars be sold in China (which is total BS), while totally ignoring the FACT that US cars don't sell well in the US.

(Hint:  It ain't the trade deal.  It's the unions, stupid.)

He rails against Carrier opening up a plant in Mexico which helps to keep them in business by selling air conditioners in Mexico.  Yet when it comes to his own manufacturing, he has no problem setting up production lines in Mexico or China.

So not only is Donald Trump anti-liberty, he is also a hypocrite.

Ok, for the last time, I don't vote for people who gave money to the Clintons..

For the record, Marco Rubio receives a lot of money from no one knows where through CSP.

Dark Money.

So, likewise, one would be as critical of Jeb Bush, sitting on the Michael Bloomberg foundation committee:

And that, kids, is what we call "hyperbole."
Pence isn't divisive. At best, he's an unknown to most LIVs.

He's quite disliked by the people of Indiana... who tend to vote Republican.  So now there is one more 'red' state closer to being lost.

Trump doubles down with most divisive VP pick in a Generation

If we have learned anything from the past it is this --- ANY VP pick by ANY Republican will be characterized as DIVISIVE.

Heck, the Presidential candidate himself will always be characterized as DIVISIVE.

Nothing has changed.

So you support this??

Because if you support the FACT that Trump gave his good friend Hillary money, and praised her job as SoS, then these petty little, remote connections with the left that Jeb and Marco have are absolutely meaningless.

You support a candidate who is a Democrat and has funded Democrats.

Stop the rationalization that Jeb (who isn't running any more, btw) and Marco (who isn't either, btw) are in the same ballpark as your Progressive Donald is.

I am a conservative and am in that "fold" whether you like or not.  But I am no longer in the GOP, so you can have whatever's left of it now that the Party has thrown most of its conservative principles overboard:  free trade, pro-life, lower taxes, NATO, and religious freedom.

Your rigged rules committee fiasco was the height of hypocrisy.  But, I guess turnabout is fair now that Trump controls the levers of power.

Establishment always wins

If Trump really wanted to get Conservatives on board, he would have chosen Sessions.

I like Pence.  I would vote for Pence for President.  Too bad he's on the bottom of the ticket.

Hannity disgusts me.

He's obviously trying to regain his conservative bona fides, which means his ratings must've suffered on account of his slobbering worshipfulness of the New York City liberal real estate magnate.

Good. I hope he's forced to go back to roofing. Or open his own dojo.

I wouldn't go back to Hannity if my life depended on it.

He's so deep in the tank for a liberal, he can't ever get back whatever "bona fides" he ever had.

I don't understand this angst over Pence...aside from him being boring I don't know what the problem is.

Beige..I think I will paint the ceiling  Beige......  Boring is good...balances the ticket. One lose cannon is enough.... although Newt.. would have been a lot of fun.

Anyways, it works...Christy would have sunk the ticket for sure.
