Christie on VP chatter: I don't like coming in second

New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie doesn’t yet know whether he will be named Donald Trump’s running mate. But he did admit Thursday that doesn’t care for second place.

The presumptive Republican presidential nominee is expected to inform the people on his shortlist, which reportedly includes Indiana Gov. Mike Pence and former House Speaker Newt Gingrich, of his decision Thursday afternoon. Trump is expected to officially unveil his running mate at Trump Tower in New York on Friday morning.

“Listen, no matter what phone call he makes to me today, I will take a deep breath and prepare for tomorrow,” Christie told MSNBC’s Nicolle Wallace in an interview from Mendham, New Jersey.

“I’m a competitive person, so I’m not gonna say it won’t bother me if I'm not selected,” Christie continued. “Of course it bothers you a little bit, because if you’re a competitive person like I am and you’re used to winning like I am, again, you don't like coming in second. Ever.”

Alas, no Golden Corral in Princeton, where the Governor's mansion is. There are some all you can eat Chinese lunch buffets on route one he might hit tomorrow. Lots and lots of diners in NJ. There was one restaurant in particular that Gov Whitman went to almost every Thursday night, had a meal and played pool there with the locals. A real divey bar type place, with excellent burgers. I don't think Christie has eaten at any local places, even though his son goes to school there.

Not only would it be as we have discussed before; an Eastern focused ticket; some have said the two are alike. In parts they are; being the loud in-your-face type.

Should I feel sorry for this guy? What the hell was he thinking? You lie down with a dog like Trump you get fleas. Trump has no sense of loyalty or honor. He's only concerned about himself.

I used to like Christie but it's clear the man is a very poor judge of character and we cannot have someone like that close to the White House.
