The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill must be majoring in political correctness! A guidebook issued at UNC is in the news for saying that employees should avoid offensive phrases such as “Christmas vacation,” “husband/boyfriend” and even—get this one—“golf outing.” Believe it or not, these phrases could be considered “MICROAGRESSIONS.” Really? Who is making up this stuff? And UNC isn’t the only one. According to a “Bias-Free Language Guide” that was used by the University of New Hampshire, even the word “American” is offensive and shouldn’t be used. Why? Because it “fails to recognize South America” and “assumes the U.S. is the only country inside these two continents.” Thankfully the guide was ultimately removed, but the fact that it even existed is amazing. And I read where a Washington State University professor tried to create a policy that would punish her students for using the words “male” and “female.” And they call this higher education?
God’s Word tells us we are to “speak the truth in love.” Even though it may not be deemed politically correct, I’m going to keep sharing about GOD and His Son JESUS CHRIST who shed His BLOOD that we might have life and forgiveness of our SINS. I’ll keep preaching what God’s Word teaches about HEAVEN and yes—HELL—and I’ll keep sharing that God says He created them “MALE” and “FEMALE.” Oh, and, I’ll definitely keep calling AMERICANS to turn back to God in repentance and faith.
There is no name more offensive than the Name of Jesus. He said, “If the world hates you, you know that it hated Me before it hated you” (John 15:18). Thank you Jesus for saving me!
