Given how he changes with the wind I'd have given Trump more "unclears" than they did.

Let's see:

GLOBAL WARMING ALARMISM: Trump, NO, Hillary, Yes

TAXES: Trump, Lower them (corporate and individual), Hillary, Increase them

JUDGES and JUSTICES: Trump has a list of constitutional, non-activist judges he would appoint, Hillary wants someone like Ruth Ginsburg

ENERGY POLICY: Trump is for fossil fuels (including coal ). Hillary wants to do away with them

OBAMACARE Trump says get rid of it. Hillary says retain it and make government control healthcare

SECOND AMENDMENT Trump against gun control, Hillary wants to hold gun manufacturers liable for crimes committed by criminals who use guns.

IMMIGRATION AND BORDER SECURITY Trump says deport illegals and build a wall. Hillary wants to do the opposite.

Anyone who can't see the difference is blind.

Trump was not my choice in the primaries ( Cruz was ). But I have no choice but to take him, warts and all. The alternative is too horrible to comprehend.

Let's see:  Donald Trump lies to people in negotiations in order to fool them into becoming emotionally invested in dubious projects - this he has gladly admitted to in his book - so why on Earth should I believe anything Trump says since it's almost certainly being said to fool people into becoming emotionally invested in his nomination (i.e., invest in a dubious project).  I'll go by his past and the political milieu in which he's lived for decades, liberal NYC, as exemplified by the "republican" ex mayor Bloomberg, who governed as a clear liberal.

Trump simply cannot be trusted to tell the truth or to stand by his word, and his past clearly paints him as a liberal.  There is no basis for believing he won't be just as bad as Clinton.

You make a very valid point and points that I have mulled over in my head time and time again.  I just keep coming to the same conclusion; because he keeps softening his stance, because he said he's needs to be more establishment and because he's been very liberal in the past, I don't believe him, nor do I trust him to do anything that he has said.  If I saw a shred of evidence that he had some credibility I would vote for him to ensure that Hillary won't get in.  I think he will be a dangerous, dangerous leader, similar to Kim Jong-un who he has publicly stated that he needs to be given credit. I'm hoping somehow at convention he's not made the nominee.
Romans 12:16-21

Live in harmony with one another; do not be haughty, but associate with the lowly, do not claim to be wiser than you are.  Do not repay anyone evil for evil, but take thought for what is noble in the sight of all.  If it is possible, so far as it depends on you, live peaceably with all…do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.
