As quoted in other articles Trump said:
“They moved the World Golf Championships from Miami to Mexico City. Can you believe it? Can you believe it? Not good.
But that's OK. Folks, it's all going to be settled. You vote for Donald Trump as president, if I become your president, this stuff is all going to stop.”
So what exactly is trump going to do to stop the PGA from having tournaments outside of the USA?*
The PGA doesn’t manufacture anything so I don’t think he can put a tariff on them. Levy a special tax on the PGA?
Have the FCC block any TV coverage?
Have the State Department invalidate the passports of any American plays so they can’t leave the country?
Put them on Double Secret Probation?
* The PGA already has some tournaments outside of the US

I also read somewhere (can’t find the article right now) that the PGA players don’t like Doral very much. The recent redesign has made it long to the point it heavily favors long hitters now.
At this year’s Golf Championship-Cadillac Championship, Trump of course got some free campaign advertising by wearing his Make America Great Again hat. Not that I blame him, but the PGA and sponsors may not have been so keen on it – just saying.
