Donald Trump’s presidential campaign on Wednesday night announced it had parted ways with its national political director Rick Wiley — a move that appears to stem in part from an ongoing turf war atop the campaign.

Wiley was the first high-profile hire by Paul Manafort, the veteran GOP operative who Trump brought on board in late March to help professionalize a campaign that had cruised through the GOP primary season with a skeleton staff.

But Manafort and Wiley quickly found themselves at odds with Trump’s campaign manager Corey Lewandowski and key members of the team he had built.

Sources in and around the campaign told POLITICO that Wiley was not responsive to Lewandowski or other officials from the old regime, and that he had clashed in recent weeks with Karen Giorno, a Lewandowski ally who ran Trump’s campaign during the Florida GOP primary.

Trump’s campaign, in a statement, suggested that Wiley’s position was not intended to be permanent and thanked him for his service, but did not make clear the terms of his departure.

Lewandowski is Trump's consigliere and will eventually be his undoing.  He loves the belligerent, fighting, cussing, insulting style that Trump exhibited today.

I suspect there are lots of red-faced Republicans who announced support for Trump. Hopefully, some of them will back off and denounce him.  Ryan, I suspect, won't endorse Trump until much later in the campaign, if ever.

I wonder if those NDAs the campaign makes staffers sign are actually enforceable in the political world?

Not if you're fired.

Yes they are separate enforceable contracts not part of the employment contract. They can only be voided by a court if found unconscionable. Doubt that's the case here. It likely is for a reasonable time and minimal restrictions. Fired does not void them.

Wonder what Manafort is thinking right about now?

He's next.  Trump doesn't want advisers.  He makes all his own decisions.  Lewandowski is in favor of Trump being Trump and is the only staffer allowed to fellate Trump.

So he'll come out on top (pun intended) and we get to see if the majority of Americans want an insulting sonofabitch in the Oval Office.

Depends on state laws and the terms of the agreements. It's murky for sure.

If I had to guess the choice of law provision would be Delaware law since Trump mentioned hes has a lot of Businesses incorporated there. That means his legal team knows the Business Advantages to be gained by using that State's laws. If so, The NDA is virtually bullet proof.

It must be a shark tank inside the Trump campaign. Cannot imagine how all those who endorsed Trump are going to save face.

Donald J. Trump for President, Inc. is incorporated in Virginia with no principle address. It is also registered in New York as a foreign not-for-profit with a Virginia jurisdiction and a process address in New York. FEC filings also list New York.

I have no idea what choice of law and venue provisions would've been used in any NDAs.

Sounds like this is your first national election.  You'll probably want to do some reading and research on past campaigns.  The "post mortems" are usually very enlightening.  This should help balance your perspective.

This isn't the first campaign for this to happen, and yes it seems like Lewandowski is winning the war, which won't be good for Trump.

Right.  Most campaigns do hire a political director for a limited time, however usually they last until the campaign is over unless the campaign is floundering.  Trump is about clinch the nomination so I suspect Wiley is having a hard time being a "yes" man to Trump's delusions.
