Speculation begins.  We don't want Trump.  We don't want some crazy conspiracy narcissist running this country.  We don't want the rich establishment elite Trump.  There are a lot of us.  If Cruz was to run third party then people would have two choices for Democrat and one real Conservative.

There is no apparatus for it to realistically work. They General is all about money and GOTV. There are only two parties that can do that at this late date.

This is an unusual election.  Aren't some Republicans talking about another third party candidate?  Even if it isn't on the ballot anyone can still write in.  If enough people organized I think it is possible.  Me I am doing fine without TV.  Wasn't even interested at all to turn on the Trump show.

I'm still not sure if this all seals the deal. Does all this mean no open convention etc.?? Wait and see.

It seals the deal unless Trump does something so incredibly stupid that the delegates reject hi at the convention.
With Trump, that isn't out of the question.

I really don't think Cruz will go 3rd party.  He'll be faithful to the party and wait for his time.

People talk about third parties, but talk is cheap. There are only two options now. Not vote or vote Hitlary. It all depends on how much you hate Drumpf. I personally hate him more than any candidate to date.

With me it isn't a matter of hate.  Its a matter of overwhelming grief for the country.

Terrible idea.

As bad as Trump is, he's nowhere near as bad as Clinton.

I despise the way Trump beat Cruz; with dishonesty and bullying and mob mentality. However, I won't vote for a 3rd party candidate, even if it is Cruz.

You say that until you dig into what Trump wants to do and how he will inevitably be going about doing it. Add to that him saturating all the airwaves and oxygen in the room for the next 4 years. It will be the Trump show everyday all day.

I have little to no doubt that GOP elected officials would rally against Hitlary from day one. I have no assurance of that if Trump was the guy and his plans are just as dangerous and terrible as hers. Just off the top of my head Tariff Wars, Nationalizing Banks and shutting down a free press.

I think Trump could shoot someone and get away with it.  He is right.  He hasn't really said anything except we're going to do.........and believe me.  No detail Trump.  But even when he told them his immigration plan was amnesty they ignored him.  You are so right Frank on Tarriff, banks and the press.  And I can't even imagine having to see the stories on Trump every day.  What Melania is wearing.  Just can't wait for him to put his name on the White House.

It didn't quite work out that way for the last 8 years, with the furthest left, most America hating, enemy courting, ally bashing president in our history, in power.

The GOP elected officials didn't do jack to rally against him. On the contrary, they HELPED him accomplish many, many, non-conservative goals.

Trump just wants to be president. He doesn't know 5h!+ from shinola as far as conservative ideology, but he love's America and has a group of advisors who will pull him aside occasionally and clue him in to what is conservative and what is not.

Hillary, on the other hand, is a true-believing, America hating, communist.

I'll take my chances with Trump.

That is the only common sense conclusion. His choice for VP and department heads will indicate how conservative his agenda will be.

Cruz should have run indy the second the GOP screwed him. But since America once again groveled to a liberal he would have been screwed by his supposed supporters regardless. Just as Palin was when she looked into running. Trump/the GOP isn't the real problem. They're a symptom. Well an advanced stage of the disease really. The real problem is liberal Americans electing and supporting more of their own kind.
