Boston Herald: Prosecutor Handling Lewandowski's Case a Hillary Supporter
Tuesday, March 29, 2016 06:22 PM

By: Jason Devaney

On the same day Donald Trump's campaign manager was arrested for battery on a reporter, it was revealed that the prosecutor whose office is taking on the case is a Democrat who donated money to Hillary Clinton's presidential campaign.

According to the Boston Herald, Palm Beach County State Attorney Dave Aronberg was a member of the Florida State Senate from 2002-2010. He became a state attorney in 2012.

Since last November, reports the Herald, Aronberg has been a part of Clinton's "Florida Leadership Council." He donated $1,000 to her campaign in January.

The Herald asked Aronberg's office for comment regarding where he sits on the political spectrum vs. approaching the case in a nonpartisan manner.

"It's an inappropriate request, and we're not responding to it," spokesman Mike Edmondson told the Herald.

Corey Lewandowski turned himself into police Tuesday morning after he was charged with battery stemming from a March 8 incident in which he's alleged to have grabbed the arm of reporter Michelle Fields at a rally. Fields claims Lewandowski was so rough with her that there were bruises on her left arm.

Lewandowski and the Trump campaign denied he touched Fields, who was working for Breitbart News at the time. She has since quit after the website published a story that cast doubt on her claims.

"Mr. Lewandowski is absolutely innocent of this charge," Trump said in a statement. "He will enter a plea of not guilty and looks forward to his day in court. He is completely confident that he will be exonerated."

Lawsuits in New York state court and California federal court are moving forward against Trump University, the now-defunct real estate training program started by Donald Trump in 2005. Trump has vigorously defended himself against attacks from his opponents about the program, saying it was successful and that the lawsuits are not a big deal.

Right Donny. We all know how good a judge of character you are. Remember when you praised a child rapist.....

"I've known Jeff for 15 years. Terrific guy,'' Trump told New York magazine in a 2002 profile of Epstein written three years before Epstein began to be investigated. "He's a lot of fun to be with. It is even said that he likes beautiful women as much as I do, and many of them are on the younger side. No doubt about it — Jeffrey enjoys his social life."
