Poll: Clinton would easily beat Trump
« on: March 09, 2016, 07:07:31 pm »
Quote
Democrat Hillary Clinton would defeat Republican presidential rival Donald Trump by double digits in a hypothetical general election matchup, according to a poll released Wednesday.

Clinton would edge out Trump by 13 points in a one-on-one vote, 51 percent to 38 percent, in the latest NBC News/Wall Street Journal survey.

Trump, the controversial GOP front-runner, would lose even more soundly to Bernie Sanders should the Independent Vermont senator secure the Democratic nomination.
.....

By comparison, Trump's rivals Sens. Marco Rubio (Fla.) and Ted Cruz (Texas) both fare better against the Democratic front-runner in the latest polling. Cruz and Rubio have stressed their electability in the GOP race.

Cruz trails Clinton by just 2 points, 47 to 45 percent, in a hypothetical matchup, while Rubio ties the former secretary of State at 46 percent each, according to the NBC/Journal poll...

Who knows?

Ways to take down Donald Trump:

1.  The MSM will own his ass and kick him out of the arena.       Nope.
2.  Crubio  will take down Trump:    Nope.
3.  Romney's stature will decimate him and drum Trump out of politics.  Nope.
4.  Trump can't beat Hillary:  What can it hurt?

It's painfully obvious that the difference between primary elections and general elections were missed with this comment.

Why are we even talking any more? Why don’t we all just check out and enjoy playing golf or what ever?

With Kaisch/Rubio knocked out Tuesday, the Wall Street Journal polling indicates Cruz will walk right into the nomination and the Presidency. After all this polling shows he is the much beloved candiate of the polling.

Obviously there is no need for us to talk or think or do anything in Politics any more. From now on we can simply wait for the Media to publish a poll and follow what ever they direct us to think and do.

Odd why is the much beloved Cruz not wining everything then currently?

Truth be told, your "painfully" condition leaves me a bit conflicted.    :pondering:

But . . .  I'll move on.

Here is the point, John:  the establishment is using the fear of Trump losing to Clinton in the general election in an attempt to suppress the vote for Trump in the primaries.     Honest.

And the Trump crowd is using the anger against the 'establishment' in an attempt to suppress the vote for any other candidate in the primary.

Wow, that didn't take long.  During his press conference last night Trump really ripped the WSJ polls about him.

Man, I cannot wait for Trump's inauguration!  That day will be one to remember!!  ^-^

The reality is the anger is the driving force of this election cycle.  It's organic and it's from the grass roots.   You can't really blame Trump for being the first to recognize this anger.  He has been, after all, living and working outside the establishment bubble in Washington, DC all his life.

Trump loses to Hillary? OMG. I better switch my vote to the guy who's losing primaries to Trump. Whew! Lucky I saw this.

Problem: anger is an irrational emotion that rarely produces good results. Cannot blindly act on anger in life.

Yes, it feels really, really good, but it seldom produces good results, and if it does it is coincidental not causative.

The primary voter is only a small segment of the party at large.  And the party is only 1 in 4 voters.  This means what may play well in a primary doesn't win in the general.  If it did... we'd never lose any election.
