Bret Baier: Some Republicans Say Privately They Will Back Hillary Over Trump
Monday, March 7, 2016 04:24 PM

By: Greg Richter

Some Republicans say they will vote for Hillary Clinton if Donald Trump ends up winning the Republican presidential nomination, Fox News anchor Bret Baier says.

"Listen, there are Republicans in Washington who are privately saying that already," Baier said Monday in an interview with The Wrap.

"Maybe some don't publicly say it, but I think there are some who are that adamant about it who would," Baier said.

The never-Trump movement is trying to stop that from even becoming a necessity and hope to prevent the real estate mogul from even getting the 1,237 delegates needed for the nomination, Baier said. "But short of that and some kind of hail Mary at the Cleveland convention, there are definitely Republicans who are looking at that."

But Baier predicted that with Clinton as a "unifying force," Republicans will eventually unite behind the nominee, whoever it ends up being.

MSNBC host Joe Scarborough said in December he has heard much the same thing.

Anyone who would cast a vote for HRC is a member of a political party that I no longer want part of in the future.
Trump has created a cult and looks more and more like Hitler every day.

The status quo stays in place WITH HILLARY. Look for mostly all the sitting RINOGOPe in the HOUSE and Senate to support HILLARY. No surprise! They live to CORRUPT another day. The UNIPARTY survives and grows with a Hillary as POTUS and the DONARS, Wall Street thrives. How can anyone support that is a mystery ! They must HATE this country real bad ?  8888crybaby

It's all about power to them. They don't care about restoring America or principles.

The majority of these folk probably comprise the "political elite" in the counties that surround Washington.

Let them vote as they please.
Their [small] numbers will be offset by many thousands of "Reagan democrat" types who will vote for Trump, wiping away any influence they might have had.

Wow.  There must be quite a wide thread of corruption holding together the current GOP.  They are truly scared of a real, live outsider.

This Republican does not like Trump at all, but will never vote for Hillary or Bernie or any other Dem.

All of the applications to join the GOP REQUIRE that you support all GOP candidates so these "republicans" that are saying they will vote for Hillary either must not feel it necessary to back there promise or they are not real republicans.

Could we be surprised by this?  No, they have been bending to the left for quite awhile.  If they had cared Hillary would be in jail where she belongs right now.  Trump would be a memory.
