Quote
President Barack Obama harshly criticized the entire slate of Republican presidential candidates during a press conference Tuesday afternoon.

"I think foreign observers are troubled by some of the rhetoric that's been taking place in these Republican primaries and Republican debates," Obama said when asked what foreign leaders thought of Donald Trump.

Obama emphasized that his comments were not directed solely at Trump, the Republican presidential front-runner.

The president listed multiple issues, including climate change and immigration, on which he thought all of the GOP candidates were out of step:

I find it interesting that everybody's focused on Trump primarily just because he says in more interesting ways what the other candidates are saying as well. So he may up the ante in anti-Muslim sentiment but if you look at what the other Republican candidates have said, that's pretty troubling too. He may express strong anti-immigration sentiment, but you've heard that from the other candidates as well. …

They're all denying climate change. I think that's troubling to the international community since the science is unequivocal. And, you know, the other countries in the world, they kind of count on the United States being on the side of science and reason and common sense. ... But this is not just Mr. Trump. Look at the other statements that are being made by the other candidates.

Trying to protect his legacy and does not want the upcoming election to be a referendum on his administration as he is obviously worried the Dems are going to lose across the board.

He's trolling the conservative vote, hoping that they'll do the exact opposite of what he's said... and support Trump.

Today they are having a snowball fight in Hell, because I find myself agreeing with Obama for the first time. Trump will NOT be President.

He never wanted to be President. Why would he?  The clubbing, the parties, the carefree jet-set playboy  lifestyle of a billionaire, all will come to a crashing end for the rest of his existence. Now all heavily monitored by the Secret Service. Don't know what that's like, read Killing Reagan.

No, he won't.   The choice we face is whether to oust him now,  and run a conservative who can win in the fall,  or to oust him in November,  when the alternative will be a corrupt liberal or a socialist.  But he will be defeated.   Trump is a dangerous,  unmoored and unprincipled man,  with the temperament to kill us all.

Maybe Obama accidentally let slip that he/ValJar will make sure (by whatever means) Trump never becomes president.

I'm not keen on conspiracy theories, but there's little doubt that Trump, wittingly or not,  is doing the bidding of the Democrats.   Clinton's a very weak candidate,  but her chances will be boosted running against an unprincipled madman.

We need to keep remembering that, at least so far,  Trump hasn't attracted more than approximately one-third of the vote.  Far more people are against him than for him.   But Hitler won the chancellery in 1933 by capturing only a plurality of the vote.   Trump is the present danger, because his supporters are similarly attracted to his "strength" and easy answers rooted in the exploitation of bigotry.

As far as I'm concerned, one-third of the GOP electorate has let anger trump their common sense.  Trump is utterly unqualified and unprincipled,  but that's not what makes him dangerous.   It is his vile temperament, personal viciousness and vindictiveness, and inability to manage his own anger that makes him a danger to be trusted with his finger on the button.

Damn right Trump's an unhinged madman.  I cannot respect the fools who support him.

And they'll succeed, if we're stupid enough to fall for Trump.

Prediction (not a "fearless" one, but a prognostication):
If Trump does actually win the presidency, obama will skip the inaugural ceremonies, and head "straight for the getaway plane..."
