Clearly Islamophobic Texas Imam Agrees With Trump About Halting Muslim Immigration

And now for some news you won’t read at your favorite left-wing blog.
Remember how Donald Trump totally and completely hated on all Muslims the other day when he called for a moratorium on Muslim immigration into these United States? Remember how it was perfectly natural to call him a racist for his anti-Muslim immigration policy even though Islam isn’t a race?
Well, as it turns out, a certain Imam in Texas agrees with the Donald about halting Muslim immigration into the land of the free and the home of the brave.
(For those of you who get your news from The Daily Show, an Imam is a religious leader within the Islamic faith.)
Nidal Alsayyed, whose name alone gives him credibility on this subject, leads a mosque in Beaumont, Texas.
Yes, they still allow mosques in Texas. For now.
The Imam violated the left-wing narrative about Trump by telling a local TV station the following: “I certainly see it to be wise [to] stop temporarily accepting any new Muslim immigrants [refugees and non-refugees] into the United States.”
This is yuuuuuge.
Alsayyed added that halting Muslim immigration is necessary “when it comes to peace and safety.”
He also called on fellow Muslims to act more… American.
“It does not matter whether Trump said it or anyone else … American Muslims need to say we are with this country,” he said.
“We American Muslims need to be sincere in our religion and to the country we are living in. Peace comes before religion. We need to be truthful and transparent when we express a viewpoint or feedback. It does not matter whether Trump said it or anyone else,” Alsayyed said.
