New Poll finds 1 in 5 British Muslims Sympathize with ISIS Terrorists!

A shocking new poll conducted in the aftermath of the Muslim terrorist attacks on Paris has some terrifying conclusions to share with the Western world.
While the poll finds that a large majority of Muslim Brits stand against terrorism, it also explains that nearly 20% of British Muslims (or 1 in 5) do have some sympathy for the ISIS terrorists!
Liberal politician and Muslim Sadiq Khan said the poll reinforces the need for the British government to wake up to the reality that Islamic extremism is here and it is a threat.
“It is clear that Britain needs to take its head out of the sand and act to tackle extremism and radicalisation at home. Tackling extremism is a challenge for everyone but I believe British Muslims have a special role to play,” Khan said.
If the poll is accurate (and there is no reason to think otherwise), that means that of the 2.7 million British Muslims, some 500,000 of them, support terrorism in some measure! Almost the same number, (17%) say that being Muslim is more important to them than being British. The poll also found that almost 40% believe that the West is to blame for the attacks being carried out by Muslim terrorists.
Omar Elhamdoon, of the Muslim Association of Britain, seemed unsurprised by the number of people who blame the West as opposed to ISIS for the violence. “There are people who see what happens from Britain in other countries and they will be angered. Some of those then have a tendency to be radicalized. This could be radicalized by them going out to do something or just by having those feelings.”
Just 51% of British Muslims believe that they should speak out against violence like the 9/11 terrorist attacks or the recent attacks in Paris.
Bashir Chaudhry, chairman of the League of British Muslims, wishes that figure was much higher. “This is not in the name of Islam. This violence is killing people. This so-called IS are a farce, they are destroying the peace of the world. In Islamic philosophy you cannot even take your own life, let alone someone else’s.”
Sadly, Mr. Chaudhry, for every moderate who condemns the actions of the terrorists, there are at least as many “extremists” praising them… even in Britain.
