New Report Claims Barack and Michelle Obama DON’T WANT THE CLINTONS TO WIN

October 13, 2015 by Aleister 0 Comments

This news isn’t surprising if you remember how ugly things got during the Democrat primary of 2008. At the height of that contest, the Obamas and the Clintons hated each other.

It doesn’t look like much has changed.

Michael Gartland of The New York Post reports that the Obamas want Joe Biden to run in 2016 with former Massachusetts governor Deval Patrick:

The Obamas don’t want the Clintons back in White House

President Obama’s endorsement of a Joe Biden White House run will be conditional on having a “final say” over his choice for vice president, according to Ed Klein, author of the Hillary Rodham Clinton biography “Unlikeable.”

“Barack Obama would like to see Deval Patrick, the former governor of Massachusetts and an African-American, run on the Biden ticket,” Klein told John Catsimatidis on AM 970 radio Sunday.

Patrick, who served as assistant attorney general under then-President Bill Clinton, grew up in Chicago, Obama’s former stomping grounds. He succeeded Mitt Romney as governor of Massachusetts.

Klein said that the first family is “behind” the Draft Joe Biden movement and that they’ve given him “permission” to use Air Force Two to fly across the country promoting his possible presidential run to African-American groups, gays and unions.

Klein, the former foreign editor of Newsweek and former editor of The New York Times Magazine, has been one of the Clintons’ toughest critics. But he has accused the Obama administration — and senior adviser Valerie Jarrett specifically — of throwing gasoline on the controversy surrounding Hillary Clinton’s computer servers and searching her expense recordings for discrepancies.

“None of this would have taken place without the president’s approval,” Klein said. “Obama — if he gave Biden his endorsement — would ask for something in return . . . and what he’s asked for is a say, a final say, in Biden’s choice.”

“There is going to be no serious support for Hillary Clinton coming out of the White House,” he said in May, while promoting his previous book, “Blood Feud: The Clintons vs. the Obamas.”

This makes more sense if you know anything about Deval Patrick, who was also managed by Obama’s political guru David Axelrod.

Before Obama’s 2008 campaign slogan of Yes We Can, Deval Patrick ran for governor of Massachusetts on the campaign slogan of Together We Can.

Obviously, that’s a sheer coincidence.

No doubt.

Deval Patrick legacy may get national review: Editorial
on October 12, 2015 at 3:34 PM, updated October 12, 2015 at 3:46 PM

Hardly a Presidential election goes by without a Massachusetts politician playing a pivotal role.

Even with Sen. Elizabeth Warren staying out of the Democratic race, the state could be in the national spotlight again. Multiple media reports say President Obama will put his full support behind Vice President Joseph Biden's candidacy, but only if the President can name the running mate.

His choice is reportedly Deval Patrick, a close friend and the state's former governor. In the 2014 gubernatorial race between Charlie Baker and Martha Coakley, Patrick's legacy was not a common topic, but that would change if he winds up on the ticket.

Baker promised to apply fiscal responsibility to worthwhile programs, many of them begun under Patrick. Coakley's campaign was largely an attempt to reshape her image after a clumsy 2010 run for U.S. Senate.

Democrats won't flinch if Patrick's record is reviewed. Conservatives fume when Massachusetts liberals are held in admiration, but the blue-state reputation plays well within his own party.

There could be an Achilles heel, however. The ongoing controversy surrounding the Department of Children and Families involves questions of supervision and oversight in several mishandled cases that occurred under the Patrick Administration.

Would the governor be held responsible? Should he be? Those questions could emerge if Patrick is on the ticket as a candidate for Vice President.

The problems within DCF could be an especially vulnerable topic for Democrats who base their programs on compassion through efficient, caring government. At a time Americans are presenting an angry face to the candidates, even a reasonable explanation - if one exists - may not meet with a sympathetic audience.

Obama's direct involvement with selecting a candidate might not play well with voters, either. His unpopularity in many sectors could mitigate whatever advantages incumbency normally offers.

Patrick will be quite popular with liberal Democrats and minorities in particular, but that is already the party's base. Large segments of voters don't know him, but if their first impression is related to the DCF controversy - or if Obama's influence is viewed as an overreach or meddling - Patrick's addition to the ticket may not give Democrats the added advantage they want.

Scott Brown: Deval Patrick a Joke as VP Candidate, from Boston Herald:
Quote
Former U.S. Sen. Scott Brown mocked the idea of a Deval Patrick veep run on a Joe Biden presidential ticket as a “joke” yesterday, but was quick to add he’d love to see the Democrats go with it.

“Patrick is a joke, please,” Brown told the Herald yesterday after hosting a meet-and-greet for GOP contender Carly Fiorina at his home in Rye, N.H. “I hope that he runs, that way it will be a definite loss.”

The offhanded dismissal drew rebukes from Granite State and Bay State Democrats, who insisted the two-term Massachusetts governor would bolster their party’s slate.

“I have a lot of respect for Deval Patrick, and I think no matter who the nominee is, he would obviously be somebody who would be very worthy for consideration for a vice presidential spot,” said Kathy Sullivan, a Democratic National Committee member for New Hampshire, who supports Hillary Clinton.

Getting in her own dig, Sullivan added, “Political analysis from Scott Brown is something that I can’t take seriously. I’m not sure he realizes this, but people in New Hampshire really don’t care what Scott Brown thinks.”

Brown was more deferential to Biden, saying, “Listen, I like the vice president. People like him, they trust him, but it would be a continuation of Obama, and so would Hillary.”

Rumors of a Biden/Patrick ticket have persisted since former New York Times Magazine editor Ed Klein — citing “talk in Democratic circles” and other unnamed sources — reported two weeks ago that a scenario in play would see President Obama endorse a Biden White House bid if Biden lets Obama have “final say” on his running mate. That, the theory goes, would be Patrick, a longtime Obama confidant.

Brown’s comments come as he looks to position himself as a potential kingmaker in the New Hampshire GOP presidential primary, inviting all Republican candidates to his home as part of his “No B.S. BBQ” series.

Brown said he speaks to the candidates regularly — including Donald Trump just last week, saying he told the front-runner to “act more presidential” and focus on policy.

“We’re doing it with every candidate who wants to come,” Brown said. In addition to Fiorina, he said he expects visits from Jeb Bush, Trump, Mike Huckabee, George Pataki, Ben Carson, Lindsey Graham and Marco Rubio. “I’ll make an endorsement probably mid-January. Anyone who comes here will be under consideration. Anyone who doesn’t, won’t.”

Brown only narrowly lost his 2014 run against incumbent U.S. Sen. Jeanne Shaheen, and observers say he could boost a candidate looking to make inroads with GOP establishment donors who buttressed Brown’s campaign.

“When I ran, we put about $4 million on the ground, and it enabled us to open up satellite offices,” Brown said. “Right now I’m still supporting financially the GOP in New Hampshire and individual candidates. ... I’m showing up at events and helping raise money. You know, there’s life after. And we live here, we’re not going anywhere.”

Andrew Hemingway, a former gubernatorial candidate in New Hampshire who directed Newt Gingrich’s 2012 campaign there, said Brown appears to be bidding for relevance in the style of Ovide Lamontagne, who hosted presidential candidates at his Manchester, N.H., home in between his failed 2010 U.S. Senate and 2012 gubernatorial bids.

“If Scott has future ambitions, part of these conversations are going to be about what infrastructure you’re building that perhaps I could leverage when I run,” Hemingway said, adding that much of Brown’s support in the New Hampshire Senate race came from outside of the state. “If you are the candidate who is seeking to have Washington approval, then yeah, I think that is an important endorsement.”

Wow.  Doesn't look like the DEMS have a lot going for them does it?  Seriously?  This country is in a whole lot of trouble and there is still the slight chance that the liberal leftist mental midgets will vote in another progressive socialist.   **nononono*

I think there is no question Obama is trying to sabotage Hillary. They really do not like one another and the selection of Biden will serve to verify Obama's Presidency since Biden is his boy.

As for the naming Patrick as his VP? Great idea. The Dems will have trouble carrying MA otherwise.
