DEVELOPING: NASA’s Kepler mission has discovered the first near-Earth-size planet in the “habitable zone” around a sun-like star, the agency announced Thursday. The newly discovered Kepler-452b is the smallest planet discovered orbiting in the habitable zone, according to NASA.

In a statement, NASA said that the confirmation of Kepler-452b brings the total number of confirmed planets to 1,030.

"NASA/JPL-Caltech" is located in Pasadena, California

The current director has worked there since 1970, and is a legal immigrant from Lebanon.

Was that piece of fifth-column politics necessary?

What's going on with this place? It seems every thread, even the most benign is drawing some sort of trolling action.

This makes me wonder, is this place, small as it is, worthy of subversive action by liberal trolls? Or is this just the natural evolution of an internet discussion site?
