Quote
A sickening video has emerged showing crowds of Islamic State supporters watching the barbaric murder of Jordanian pilot Moaz al-Kasasbeh on specially erected giant screens in the terror group's de facto capital Raqqa.

The four minute video, titled 'Muslims' Joy at Burning of Jordanian Pilot', shows men and children gathering in the busy streets of the city to watch footage of Kasasbeh being burnt alive by terrorists.

The crowd can be heard cheering and shouting religious slogans as the airman goes up in flames, before members of the crowd are interviewed and asked for their views on the atrocity, which has been widely condemned as one of the most sickening acts ever committed to film

Among those questions is a child who appears no more than six-years-old. He is seen smiling and talking vividly about the murder, while eulogising about ISIS and their barbaric acts.

The muslim pilot who was burned to death by ISIL, was part of the military force from local nations, going against ISIL.

The Kurds who fight against ISIL, are muslims.

The  Al Sisi government in Egypt, has outlawed the Muslim Brotherhood, and imprisoned over 200 for life.

There was a time, when one might have believed we needed to kill all of the plains Indians, all of the Germans and all of the Japanese.

I am alive today because of muslim neurosurgeon.  My statement was a commentary regarding the nonsense spewed by those at the top of the political ladder.

Reverse the situation.

Imagine an ISIS killer captured in an American City and held in a local lock-up. He has just slaughter dozens of children in a grammar school cafeteria shooting spree, yelling allah hu akbar with each hit. Hundreds start to gather at the scene only to learn their child was among the dead.

Would Americans stand for similar treatment of this terrorist? Would they condone torching him in a bizarre public spectacle, even televising it for others to watch.

I'm not asking for a poll. I'm afraid of the possible results.

But I'd like to think my society is civilized enough to reject such barbarity in retribution.

Your point is well-made, but...

... there WAS a time in history, when the United States was indeed determined to kill as many Germans and as many Japanese as necessary to achieve victory.

No numbers were specified, but I sense that if they had risen to 90-100%, most Americans in 1944 would have agreed with such a policy...
