Jets center Nick Mangold arrived at MetLife Stadium on Sunday morning wearing an NYPD hat, honoring the two police officers shot and killed on Saturday while sitting in their patrol car.
The gunman, who later killed himself in a nearby subway station, wrote on his Instagram account, "I'm putting wings on pigs today. They take 1 of ours, let's take 2 of theirs." It is believed the attack was in retaliation for the recent death of Eric Garner.
