Jacksonville Airport Evacuated After Suspicious Packages Found. UPDATE: Package Removed By Bomb Squad UPDATE: Two Men In Custody

    (CNN) – Officials issued an all-clear late Tuesday after Jacksonville International Airport in Florida was evacuated in response to suspicious packages.

    “At this point, we’ve gotten an all-clear in the terminal and our garages and our surface lots,” Jacksonville Airport Authority spokesman Michael Stewart told reporters.

    The evacuation had an impact on flights, with some arriving aircraft diverted and some passengers taken from planes already on the ground to hotels.

    One suspicious package was in a garage, another in a terminal, said Stewart.

    Asked whether there had been any arrests, he said: “Not to my knowledge.”

    The FBI is assisting in an ongoing investigation.

Jacksonville.com is reporting that two men have been taken into custody and one device was “made safe off-site”

Who knows.  Might be someone who made a smart-ass comment @ the wrong time.  Heck, even before 9/11, making a terrorism/bomb joke would get you detained at the airport.

Given how the media is with their reporting, "2 packages will eventually be 1 and then end up being someones abandoned broken suitcase.  2 men will eventually be 1 crazy man.  The news loves to exaggerate things. I'm surprised they didn't claim an AR-15 was seen."
