Is there anything more annoying than a autostart video when opening a topic?  Probably but it's a pet peeve of mine.  Is there anyway using board preferences to shut it off?

Buddy....I've 'complained' about this very same thing at least three times.

Short solution....mute your volume once you've heard/watched the video.

It's not just here.  It's just here and FB I have an audience.  It's like the suits have destroyed everything cool about the Internet and Al Gore ( :whistle: ) have worked so hard to build.  Currently, one of our state's congressmen purchased every inch of bandwidth available in his quest for the Senateship and every time I click it, the cretin appears.
