Sen. Elissa Slotkin, D-Mich., said she believes the Democratic Party is in need of "new leadership," arguing that the party never completely recovered after its losses in the 2024 elections.

During an appearance on SiriusXM's "Straight Shooter" on Wednesday, the senator told host Stephen A. Smith, "Every day there’s a debate within the party about the path forward."

"That's why I believe we need significant new leadership. The old models are no longer working, and that includes the Democratic Party," she said.

Slotkin explained that new leaders are needed in both the House and the Senate, adding that her party needs to center its focus more on a few key issues.

Their old B.S. is loosing its stench.  They need fresh new B.S. to stink up the joint.

Nobody in a position of power will relinquish it voluntarily.  The need to be dethroned.

In Mass, we're watching the Dem Primary between Seth Moulton and Ed Markey.

The Mass Dem establishment, including the Boston Globe, do not take kindly to internal insurgencies against established incumbents.  I suspect Ed Markey will get support from Dem establishment and Seth Moulton will get more grass roots support.

In the end, I bet on the Dem estabishment to deliver for Ed Markey.  They have too much invested in Markey and his seniority to throw it away for a freshman U.S. Senate upstart, like Seth Moulton.

  • Ah, the air is so much fresher here...
Cut thru the smoke and let's get to the issue - one of the Rat heavies has spoken out.

Rats don't say things self-inspective when things are going good, especially the entrenched ones. They are in trouble and they know it.
