Could the state of California actually be turning red?

Early voters in the Golden State have already returned more than 900,000 ballots ahead of the June 2 Primary, showing a massive surge in Republican votes compared to four years ago for the governor’s race.

A post on Saturday from the research firm Political Data (PDI) showed that out of 905,889 ballots that have been returned, 37% were from Republicans, with Republican returns up 11% compared to the same stage of the 2022 midterms.

More shocking is the fact that the data showed 41% of Democrats who have returned their ballots, down 13 points from the same moment in the primary election four years ago.

When comparing the 2022 numbers to 2026 the difference is stark.

We’ll see.  I know better than to get my hopes up about motor-voter, count-into-December California.

I don't know how many votes Cali Democrats will need to win, but I know how many they will use.
You don’t become cooler with age but you do care progressively less about being cool, which is the only true way to actually be cool.

It doesn't matter. Democrats always keep counting until they win.

Of all tyrannies, a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. It would be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber baron's cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be satiated; but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end for they do so with the approval of their own conscience.

I don't know, I still think that there is a good chance that CA will turn red.  We shall see.
Live in  harmony with one another; do not be haughty, but associate with the lowly, do not claim to be wiser than you are.  Do not repay anyone evil for evil, but take thought for what is noble in the sight of all.  If it is possible, so far as it depends on you, live peaceably with all.

Exactly.  The number of votes cast in a California election is not limited to the number of voters.  If a Republican wins 35 million votes in a statewide election, the Democrat candidate would receive 35.1 million.  Ballot harvesting is legal.  And any ballot turned in must count, regardless of the eligibility of the one casting it.
If a political party does not have its foundation in the determination to advance a cause that is right and that is moral, then it is not a political party; it is merely a conspiracy to seize power.     -Dwight Eisenhower-

"The [U.S.] Constitution is a limitation on the government, not on private individuals ... it does not prescribe the conduct of private individuals, only the conduct of the government ... it is not a charter for government power, but a charter of the citizen's protection against the government."     -Ayn Rand-

👇What will really piss all of you conservative friends of mine off is realizing that Newsom said this out loud knowing it would make him MORE popular w/ leftoids, because they are all completely soulless hypocrites who never gave a single shlt about “protecting democracy.”
