He'll be a good VP for JD Vance. But I agree, seeking amnesty for illegal aliens almost ended Rubio.
Rubio has done a remarkable job as Secy of State. He is certainly surprised me, but being affiliated with The Gang of Eight will always continue to be a hurdle for him. Also, let's not forget that neither of Rubio's parents were citizens when he was born.
SCOTUS is supposed to rule on birthright citizenship sometime in June. I am not getting my hopes up, but at any rate I am hoping that they will rule that at least one parent must be a citizen of the United States at the time of the child's birth in order for the child to be considered an American citizen, but if they should rule that way, it could be problematic for someone like Rubio if they have their eyes on the presidency or vice presidency.
I think that SCOTUS is going to rule which has been seen as the status quo; any child born on American soil is an American citizen.
