Democrats are calling for invoking the 25th Amendment to remove President Donald J. Trump from office after he dropped an f-bomb on Iran in a profane Easter morning social media post.

The amendment, which allows for the immediate replacement of the chief executive by the vice president if he is “unable to discharge the powers and duties of his office,” will likely get much attention from Democrats in the coming days and weeks as they begin to craft their strategy to attack Trump over the Middle East conflict.

“Tuesday will be Power Plant Day, and Bridge Day, all wrapped up in one, in Iran,” Trump wrote. “There will be nothing like it!!! Open the F**kin’ Strait, you crazy bastards, or you’ll be living in Hell – JUST WATCH! Praise be to Allah,” the president said in the explosive Truth Social post.

Trump’s provocative message was slammed by multiple Democrats on social media who demanded that the Cabinet move to invoke the 25th Amendment and that Congressional Republicans take immediate action to restrain him at a time when the war appears to be set for a dramatic escalation if he follows through on this threat to destroy civilian infrastructure.

“If I were in Trump’s Cabinet, I would spend Easter calling constitutional lawyers about the 25th Amendment,” Sen. Chris Murphy (D-CT) wrote in a Sunday post to X. “This is completely, utterly unhinged. He’s already killed thousands. He’s going to kill thousands more.”

Dems are a one-trick pony.

I think, as Iran continues to defy the President and inflinct economic damage, Trump will become more unhinged the longer this drags on.

Closing the Strait of Hormuz should have been foreseen, and should have been dealt with in the war plan.

Markey: Impeaching Trump ‘Has to Be the Democratic Agenda’

On Wednesday’s broadcast of CNN’s “Situation Room,” Sen. Ed Markey (D-MA) responded to a question on whether pushing for impeachment is productive or feasible given that Democrats are in the minority by saying that “we must proceed towards the goalof removing Donald Trump from office, and we must do this now. And that has to be the Democratic agenda.”

Co-host Pamela Brown asked, “Obviously, Senator, the president did not kill an entire civilization last night. Is impeachment really a productive or even feasible tool at this point with Republicans in control of Congress?”

Markey answered, “Democrats must proceed with the filing of the impeachment articles. We need to work as hard as we can to put the Republican Party, which is morally bankrupt, which is spineless, which wants to be in a witness protection program, even as moral atrocities are being planned in their name — we must proceed towards the goal of removing Donald Trump from office, and we must do this now. And that has to be the Democratic agenda.”

On Wednesday’s broadcast of MS NOW’s “Ana Cabrera Reports,” Rep. Chris Deluzio (D-PA) said that he’s “not sure it matters whether” a discussion of the 25th Amendment is “productive or not. I think it’s important, and it has to happen.”

They would have to show the president is incapable of carrying out the duties of his office.

Not happening.

Their beef with Trump is that he has proven very capable of carrying out the duties of his office.
That they disagree with his policies is irrelevant. That is a difference in policy aims or methods, not incapacity on the President's part.

Might as well invoke the 38th Amendment, for all the good that will do.
