Rep. Brandon Gill is publicly opposing an immigration bill that he argues would provide amnesty for illegal aliens, even though it is being pushed by some members of the Republican Party.
The legislation, H.R. 4393, is formally titled the DIGNIDAD (Dignity) Act of 2025.

The bill’s full name is the “Dignity for Immigrants while Guarding our Nation to Ignite and Deliver the American Dream Act of 2025.” It was introduced in July by Rep. Maria Elvira Salazar, along with Democrat co-sponsor Rep. Veronica Escobar.

According to Gill, the bill’s Spanish acronym “DIGNIDAD” is an insult on top of the policy itself.

In a post on X on Tuesday, Gill wrote, “It’s actually not called the ‘Dignity Act’ It’s called the ‘DIGNIDAD Act’ It’s in a foreign language for added insult.”

What about the dignity of the people who abide by the law and who risk their lives to enforce the law?

The deal made with the 1986/1987 Immigration Reform Act was that 11 million criminal illegal alien foreigners would be granted amnesty IN EXCHANGE FOR GREATER ENFORCEMENT.  Hence, the I-9 employer/employee form was born.

Since the other side has proven themselves to not be trustworthy by welching on their end of the 1986/1987 agreement, there is no point negotiating with them.

Working, tax-paying, America citizens and legal immigrants will not be chumps again.
