Judge Orders Deportation of Illegal Alien Criminal Employed by NYC Council

An immigration judge has ordered the deportation of a former New York City Council employee described by federal officials as a criminal illegal alien.
The case has set off a sharp dispute between city leaders and federal authorities.
The ruling came on Wednesday after Rafael Rubio, a Venezuelan national, had been detained for more than two months.
He was taken into custody following a routine immigration check-in.
