It was around the time Donald was in competition with Ted Cruz for the Republican nomination. I'm curious where everybody is at with it now.

Donald Trump is President, whether you voted for him or not.

GOP nominally controls Congress, but lack the guts to accomplish anything meaningful with that majority. They'd rather sit on their lazy asses and let Trump take all the political risks.

As a human being, Trump is far from perfect.  As President, he has the potential to be the most transformational President since Ronald Regan ... so long as his paranoia and insecurities do not get the best of him.  If Trump attempts Federal seizure of state ballots or interference at the polls, his legacy is toast.

Trump needs to put boots up GOP Congress's @sses to help him on the inflation / deregulation / anti-trust / competition / rebuilding (housing, energy infrastrcuture, manufacturing, trades) / efficiency / productivity front to bring prices down.

I'll judge him by what he accomplishes.  Too bad the MAGA's wouldn't let him take credit for Operation Warp Speed.  Operation Warp Speed is why the US came out of Covid with such a strong economy.  Joe Biden and the Dems threw that down the $h!tter with their Green New Fraud and their Does Nothing To Reduce Inflation Act.

Trump's ability to adapt and to innovate in the moment sets him apart from many past Presidents.  It drives people crazy because it can lead to uncertainty, but with Trump, you need to get comfortable being outside your comfort zone.  He's gonna try to push as many limits as far as he can as fast as he can to get what he wants.
