Kaaba-inspired gold bars

The Royal Mint
The Royal Mint has announced a fundraising partnership with Islamic Relief UK, in which some money from sales of gold bars will be donated to the international humanitarian charity during this year’s Ramadan.

Throughout the month of Ramadan (19 February - 20 March), 2.5% of online sales revenue from the currency supplier’s 1g and 5g gold bars featuring the Kaaba, the sacred Muslim site, will be donated to Islamic Relief UK.

In support of the charity’s Sudan Emergency Appeal, the Royal Mint will also donate two 1g and two 5g Kaaba bars for Islamic Relief UK to auction.

Both organisations will also run a joint social media prize draw, giving away 10 of the smaller gold bars.
