The ex-husband of former First Lady Jill Biden was charged with first degree murder of his late wife Linda Stevenson, 64, who was found unresponsive in their Delaware home in December.

Following a weeks-long investigation into his wife’s death, William Stevenson, 77, was indicted by the New Castle County Superior Court on Monday. Unable to make his $500,000 bail, Stevenson is being held at Howard Young Correctional Institution while he awaits trial.

On December 28, police arrived at Stevenson’s residence after 11 p.m., responding to a “reported domestic dispute.” Linda was found on the floor unresponsive, and despite life saving measures she was declared dead in the early morning hours of December 29. ...
