Trump warns Minneapolis mayor he's 'playing with fire' after immigration enforcement conversation
President Trump pounced after Mayor Frey said the city won't enforce federal immigration law

President Donald Trump asserted that Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey "is PLAYING WITH FIRE," issuing the warning in a Truth Social post on Wednesday morning.

"Surprisingly, Mayor Jacob Frey just stated that, ‘Minneapolis does not, and will not, enforce Federal Immigration Laws.’ This is after having had a very good conversation with him," the president said in the post.

"Could somebody in his inner sanctum please explain that this statement is a very serious violation of the Law, and that he is PLAYING WITH FIRE!" Trump warned.

Frey responded to the president's comments.

"The job of our police is to keep people safe, not enforce fed immigration laws. I want them preventing homicides, not hunting down a working dad who contributes to MPLS & is from Ecuador. It’s similar to the policy your guy Rudy had in NYC. Everyone should feel safe calling 911," the mayor asserted in a post on X, making an apparent reference to former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani.

The president issued the warning on Wednesday after Frey, who met with Trump's border czar Tom Homan on Tuesday, declared in a Tuesday post on X that the city will not enforce federal immigration law.

"Today, Chief O'Hara and I met with Border Czar Homan and had a productive conversation. I reiterated that my main ask is for Operation Metro Surge to end as quickly as possible. Public safety works best when it's built on community trust, not tactics that create fear or division," Frey noted in a Tuesday post on X.

Everyone needs to sit up straight, eyes forward, and get the BS out of their heads. As the old saying goes, you can't unring the bell. Frey has rung the bell by essentially declaring himself not subject to Federal law. There is little legal difference between this and Fort Sumpter during the Civil War.

Turning points in history are often the result of ring-the-bell incidents like this. If it's not dealt with it will ripple effect to a possible very bad end. We all know Frey and Walz are just putting on theater to cover for the corruption, but this isn't just the put-it-in-the pocket type, this is what i believe is largely funding the Rat party.

As much as I like the ICE enforcement, it needs to be used as a distraction for the real prize - defunding the Rat party. Bondi, Patel, Noem, they all need to level up to the A game and put the crusher on Frey, Walz, Ilhan and all their little stooges, and crush their little Confederate rebellion, because the bell has been rung.
The Republic is lost.

All we are asking is that state, county, and local officials observe Federal laws and not obstruct Federal enforcement of those Federal laws.

They mayor doesn't have to $h!t, but stay out of the way.  Stop telling the city police department to disrespect ICE detainers.

1.) Congress pass a law requiring all states that accept Federal Medicaid funds make applicants fill out a Federal I-1 form, like they would be required to if applying for a job.

2.) Congress pass a law make it a crime for states to distribute Federal funds to criminal illegal aliens and NGO's that fund and service criminal illegal aliens.

3.) Congress change Federal Medicaid Funding and Highway Funding to be a re-imbursement of GAO-audited receipts (to ensure compliance with Federal LAWS, not Executive Decrees) instead of the current upfront grants.

4.) The Executive and the Treasury enact a Federal fiscal embargo, seige, or sequester of any state that is a sanctury state or contains a sanctury city.  No co-operation, no $$$.

The last thing Dem Governors want is a state budget deficit that can't be backstopped with Federal funds.  This would force borrowing, austerity, and tax increases that could cost them the next election.  That will make one less state the Dems can gerrymander.

5.) Congress pass a law that only American citizens and legal residents, as defined by Federal Laws (not Executive Decrees pulled out Obama's and Biden's @$$es) can be counted towards Apportionment for the 2030 Census.

6.) Congress pass a law to remand DOJ prosecution decisions to Federal Grand Juries, not DOJ officials who may have conflicts of interest.

7.) Congress pass a law that a Federal judge's decision is only applicable to suits brought by plaintiffs and only applicable to the Federal Court District where the suit was brought.

It is not the obligation of the American taxpayer to provide for persons of a different jurisdiction (not legal Americans).

If I am expected to obey Federal tax laws, others should be expected to obey Federal Immigration LAWS.

All laws are applicable to all persons of that legal jurisdiction, or we have no laws at all.
