This seems overly generous to BRICS countries.  If Iran had a collective IQ of 106, I don't think Mullah Goatbeard would be running things.

For statistics, I prefer medians to averages.

Averages can be skewed by outliers.

It only takes a handful of Mensa geniuses in the survey sample to bring the Average IQ of the United States above that of a baked potato.

IQ, by definition, is culturally dependent (= What are you supposed to know) and entirely subjective. Comparing countries of differing cultures compounds the subjectivity to the point of absurdity.

Not particularly surprising.  IQ is really intended to show how the individual compares to the average individual in their community, and 100 is generally supposed to be the average or mean IQ for the community, so within a margin of error that’s simply saying that all these societies are average.
