Anti-ICE Militant Arrested for Chasing Agents, Brandishing Firearm in Minnesota Sanctuary County – Feds
A male suspect is facing a slew of charges after he allegedly impeded and pointed a gun at federal immigration officers in Minnesota last week, according to reports.
The disturbing incident unfolded on Monday morning in West St. Paul, which is located in the sanctuary jurisdiction of Dakota County.
The West St. Paul Police Department (WSP) was alerted about a man following federal agents and brandishing a firearm at around 10 a.m.
Officers encountered the suspect, identified as 62-year-old Thomas Edwin Edwards, and discovered a gun on the dash of his vehicle and took him into custody.
“We are aware that photos show West St. Paul squad cars near ICE vehicles as a result of this call. As a reminder, the West St. Paul PD is not involved in federal immigration initiatives. Officers and squad cars were on scene responding to the call about a man with a firearm,” WSP clarified in a statement following the arrest.
